Dr. Heidi Buckley

Growing up in Connecticut, Heidi decided very early to become a Veterinarian. After graduating from Cornell University, she moved south to attend the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.

She returned to Connecticut for a short time after a post-graduate internship at the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine but quickly decided that she no longer enjoyed winter in New England. Heidi joined Catawba Animal Clinic in 1997 and her professional special interests are feline medicine, geriatrics, and infectious disease.

She is a member of the AVMA and SCAV and is certified in the PennHIP X-ray Technique. Heidi’s free time is spent with her husband Tim, their children Sam and Kate, and their cat Finnegan and Tibetan Spaniel Mushu. They enjoy hiking and travel. Heidi also enjoys helping with Kate’s Girl Scout and Sam’s Boy Scout Troops.
