Dr. Meghan Barnes

Dr. Meghan Barnes, a Louisiana native, has worked in the veterinary field for nearly a decade. She earned her bachelor's degree in animal science from Louisiana State University, then her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross University on the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts in May 2020.

She will soon receive her certification in small animal acupuncture through the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida. She is also a bit of a world traveler, having spent time at the Elephant Sanctuary in Chang Mai, Thailand, where she assisted with the rehabilitative care of injured and mistreated Asian Elephants.

She is enjoying her new chapter in South Carolina. In her spare time, Dr. Barnes loves to travel, hike, swim and spend time with her fiancé, Tyler and her fur babies, Winkie and Mango.
